Sokol Zekaj, born on August 30, 1948, in Koplik, Shkodër, is an Albanian poet and writer from the northwestern region of Albania. He is the author of many poetic volumes, including the collection 'From the Desire to Live' (2020). He has also published essays and translations from French and Italian poetry. In prose, he has published the novel 'The Hours of Testimonies.' For his poetry collection 'Fantastic Summer' (2003), he was awarded the National Poetry Prize 'Silver Pen.' Zekaj holds the title 'Honorary Citizen' of Malësia e Madhe.

Sokol Zekaj ka lindur më 30 gusht 1948 në Koplik, Shkodër. Është autor i shumë vëllimeve poetike, gjithashtu ka shkruar dhe mjaft ese dhe ka bërë përkthime nga poezia franceze dhe italiane. Është autor i romanit "I nëmur dhe i bekuar". Me librin "Vera fantastike" (2003) ka fituar çmimin kombëtar të poezisë "Pena e argjendtë".
